Local Chamber of Commerce Engages Site Visitors with Web Video

Recently, the Union County Chamber of Commerce re-launched its Website with an attention-grabbing new feature: Web video.

Produced by Brightcast, a Charlotte-based firm that creates video presentations for Websites and Email, the video has allowed the Chamber to showcase Union County’s quality of life and its various programs that facilitate local business growth, in a dynamic, interactive way.

Since the re-launch of the Chamber’s video-enhanced, more user-friendly site, site traffic has doubled at www.unioncountycoc.com. In fact, the site currently sees 18,000 visitors and 119,000 searches within those site visits, each month.

Noted Chamber President Jim Carpenter in a recent article for Union County’s
The Enquirer-Journal, the Brightcast-produced video has “greatly enhanced our ability to present a picturesque view of Union County to the perfect stranger.”

Over one hundred other businesses and non-profits across the area, including both the Lake Norman and Cabarrus Regional chambers of commerce, also have added Brightcast-produced video to their Websites and e-mail, allowing their online visitors to get a unique, firsthand look inside their organizations and communities.
